Well another month has gone by without a post from us. Things have been busy since the New Year has come. Christmas was great, Perri really enjoyed getting presents and she really seemed to understand what to do this year which was the first year that she has been like that.
Work and school has been overwhelming Betsy’s life as the new semester has started and is already swamped with group meetings, papers and not mentions her regular work hours and trying to be a wife and mother. She is holding her own and I am amazed how she continues to juggle so many tasks. I have been just working and officiating basketball for the most part. It has been keeping me busy and as the season comes to an end this month. We are in the final planning stages of Perri’s 3rd birthday party. It is amazing how fast it has gone by and she is excited for her Minnie Party. We are expecting a large crowd at our house on the 18th and anticipate lots of fun.
We recently bought a new truck with more interior room, which is the first step in getting us prepared for adding a new child to our family. No, Betsy is not pregnant, but when that time comes we need to be able to fit two carsseats in our truck so we got a leg up on that aspect.
We have been traveling a bit since Christmas, we were back in Stockton helping Betsy’s parents load things up to sell from the remaining stuff from her grandparents’ house, as well as enjoyed a delayed Christmas at my grandparents’ house since my grandma had back surgery right before Christmas. It was good to see family and my grandma is getting round pretty well. Last weekend we went up to see Shelly and her family in South Dakota. We enjoyed hanging out with them and took in the local ski hill. We took Perri tubing for the first time and we were afraid that she would hate it but she loved it. She got to the bottom, got out of the tube jumped up and down clapping wanting more. It was fun to see her like that.
That has been our life the past month and in between all that we have been enjoying time with our friends around the area as well. Getting together to for the KSU bowl game, the Super Bowl and Betsy and I finally had a date night just the two of us and had a dinner and a movie. We saw War Horse, which was a good movie and recommend watching it. The weather has been awesome this winter which has allowed us to even do some outdoor activities for a change instead of shovel snow which I hope it continues. We will post an entry after the party with pictures, but wanted to get us caught up on our lives.
