It was a rough night in the Wagner Household! Perri has only ever slept in our bed twice: over a year ago when she had >103 degree fever and last night. She woke up at 1am and kept crawling out of her crib over and over again. She has climbed out of a pack n' play but last night was the first time for the crib.
So? Why is this worthy of a blog post, because we must of been blessed with one of the best babies to sleep at night and never have had any trouble until now. So we are facing unfamiliar territory and now having to hear Perri cry harder than we ever have which SUCKS :(
Do we:
1. Move her to a toddler bed (even though I do not think she is ready for that)
2. Fight her time and time again during the night and keep putting her back as she is screaming "no" and running from us
3. We thought about buying a net to go over the crib, but won't help with naptime at daycare
4. We are open to suggestions
i have no experience with this personally, but other parents have told me that when kids start to climb out of their cribs they are ready for the big girl/boy beds.
ReplyDeletenoah is not climbing out of his crib yet, but we are moving him to his big boy bed next month because we want him to be transitioned before the new baby gets here in feb. he will only be 17-18 months...we are nuts, i know, but there is no way we are buying another crib! :) good luck!
