On Tuesday, our neighborhood had a holiday hay ride and a visit from Santa. We were excited for Perri to get her first chance to sit on Santa’s lap. Though things did not go as we hoped, it was a priceless memory that we will love to look back on and laugh. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, this one truly does, priceless. After some cookies and some hot chocolate, we took a hay ride. As we were getting ready to leave, it started to snow, which was such a beautiful thing. The snowflakes were big, coming down almost perfectly. It was truly amazing how it turned out, almost like a movie. Perri seemed to enjoy it for about the first 25 minutes and the last 5 I think she was getting cold and did not like the snowflakes on her face. We are looking forward to many first Christmas memories with Perri, hopefully they all turn out as well as this one did.
On a sad note, Betsy’s grandma Pfannenstiel passed away the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This prompted another trip back west to be with family and Whitey, as we said goodbye to a truly great women. She lived a long good life and touched many people’s lives. She will be truly missed.
We hope the holiday’s find everyone well and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Safe travels to all during this holiday season. Until next year!
